What is in Hindu Tradition

The Hindu Traditional aspect for a Sixtieth Birth day is some thing different. In a Hindu Tradition where Joint family system is of high importance, the sixtieth birth day remains as an indication for the younger generation to enthuse the senior in the family and give him all courage that the ENTIRE FAMILY TREE IS WITH HIM and therefore THE AGED IS NOT ISOLATED.
"The Senior" is given all importance and all prayers are done for his safety and well being and a kind of gratitude is shown to him with all encouragement when all the kith and kin - the sons, daughters, daughter-in-laws, sons-in-laws, grand daughters and grand sons, brothers and their families; sisters and their families; relatives and their families on both parental side, apart from friends and well wishers - all join and give a festive shape to the celebration. They share their experiences with the "Senior" in the family and "admire him", "enthuse him" so that the senior couple remain comfortable and "no sign is given to the couple that they have to retire and hand over the control to the next generation". Beyond that, the senior couple is given all pat on their back and entire family stands in front of them that they shall continue to remain loyal to the senior couple. THIS IS THE BASIC HINDU SYSTEM OF TREATING THE SIXTIETH BIRTH DAY AND furthermore traditionally.......................................
